More than 400 of the region's leading property professionals gathered at the Hilton Metropole Hotel at the NEC, Birmingham to celebrate the year's achievements. GBR Phoenix Beard was shortlisted in two hotly contested categories, with both industrial and office agency teams being named runners-up in recognition of the part played in some of the biggest deals in 2014.

All change as Chapel Quarter acquired by BA Pension Investment Management Limited advised by GBR Phoenix Beard
British Airways Pension Investment Management Limited, advised by GBR Phoenix Beard, has acquired the long leasehold interest of Chapel Quarter in Nottingham for £25. 55 million from an overseas investor. Comprising 145,000 sq ft of space, Chapel Quarter is a high profile mixed-use scheme completed in 2003.

GBR Phoenix Beard has announced that Richard Fletcher-Brewer has rejoined its team as an Associate Director in a newly created position based in London. ‘Fletch,’ as he is widely known, will work alongside Investment Agency Director Steve Benson and Tom Edgar to enhance the firm’s capital markets offering.

GBR Phoenix Beard, on behalf of client Salmon Harvester Opportunity Fund, has let 2,675 sq ft of penthouse office space at 1 Victoria Square to specialist IT recruitment company Applause IT. The company was established by directors Mike Scotney and Tim Morris, and now employs 12 people based at the new panoramic offices on the ninth floor.
