GBR Phoenix Beard Residential appointment at Ramsden Close, Bournville Village Trust

GBR Phoenix Beard Residential has been appointed to manage the Ramsden Close development located on the Bournville Village Trust (’BVT’).   The Selly Oak scheme is made up of two residential blocks of maisonettes and apartments constructed in the 1960s, and GBR Phoenix Beard Residential will manage Ramsden Close on behalf of Mondelez, who hold the long leasehold at Ramsden Close.

GBR Phoenix Beard industrial agency hat trick

GBR Phoenix Beard’s industrial agency team has completed three transactions at sites across the West Midlands. The deals, with a combined floor space of 13,342 sq ft, are debut successes for the team’s newest graduate surveyor, Joe Shorney, who joined the firm in October 2013 from John Shepherd. The deals include a long leasehold of 5,566 sq ft at Centenary House in Hockley to a community church organisation known as the International Christian Assembly; a three year lease of two units at Berry Business Park, West Bromwich, to a Midlands based pest control organisation; and the disposal of a 2,150 sq ft building on behalf of Birmingham Properties Group at Great Western Business Park, Hockley, to engineering consultancy MMIC EOD.

GBR Phoenix Beard Agency team advises ASE on purchase of Alpha Tower

One of Birmingham’s most well known and widely recognised buildings is primed to undergo a comprehensive refurbishment, after being purchased by new owners.  In the Midlands’ first significant property deal of 2014, the Anglo Scandinavian Estates Group (ASE) has purchased the 196,105 sq ft Alpha Tower.  Investor ASE is advised by Commercial Estates Group (CEG), which already manages a number of commercial buildings in the city, has earmarked an additional £9 million to fund the complete refurbishment of Alpha Tower to a Grade A standard.
