Sustainability
Sustainability has become a key driver in the property sector and we are committed to developing working practices which support our clients' sustainability objectives. As managing agents, surveyors, letting agents and project managers we recognise our wider responsibility for encouraging sustainable practice amongst the building owners, fund managers, occupiers and developers with whom we work. This covers:
Recycling and waste management
- Minimising the use of printed materials and where possible using materials sourced from recycled materials, carrying the environmental logo
- Maximising waste segregation and recycling
- Minimising waste landfill
Energy
- Making efficient use of energy consumed
- Sourcing renewable and cleaner sources of energy where appropriate to our own and our clients' needs
- Adopting energy reduction measures
Travel
- Ensuring travel plans encourage sharing car journeys and the use of public transport where possible
- Facilitating green commuter plans for our own staff and for tenants at sites we manage, for example car sharing and cycle to work schemes
- Promote the use of conference calls to minimise travel
Community
We seek to engage with and support the local communities in which we are active. For sites managed by GBR Phoenix Beard this includes working with local suppliers where this is in the best interests for our clients.
